Hand-knotted Pakistani Buchara oriental rug with traditional Göl design, measuring approximately 178 × 123 cm.

The rug features a warm red central field decorated with regularly repeated traditional geometric Göl motifs in dark brown, black and cream tones. The central field is surrounded by several finely patterned geometric borders, characteristic of traditional Bokhara designs.

The rug originates from Pakistan and dates from the late 20th century. Pakistani Buchara rugs of this type are traditionally hand-knotted with a wool pile on a cotton foundation.

The combination of the deep red ground, dark geometric borders and repetitive Göl pattern gives the rug a classic and decorative appearance suitable for both traditional and contemporary interiors.
