Eines der geheimnisvollsten, begehrtesten und prestigeträchtigsten Gralsstücke im Hermès-Sammleruniversum: "Les Géographes" (Die Geographen), entworfen von Sandra Laroche, um die historische französische Seefahrt-Expedition von 1800–1804 nach Australien unter dem Kommando von Kapitän Nicolas Baudin an Bord der Korvette "Le Géographe" zu gedenken.

Dieses Stück zeigt den außergewöhnlichen, längst eingestellten Jacquard-Seidenwebstuhl, der gewebte Motive von australischen Kängurus und Marineanker enthält, die dreidimensional über dem tiefschwarzen Seidenfeld schimmern. Die schwarze Farbvariante gilt allgemein als die begehrteste und wertvollste Variante dieses Designs.

• Overall: Good to Very Good vintage condition, with remarkable silk crispness and vibrant colors.
• Silk Fabric & Jacquard: Excellent body, firm hand, and luminous sheen. No fabric thinning, holes, or noticeable pulled threads (runs).
• Hems (Roulotté): Hand-rolled hems remain tight, plump, and nicely rounded.
• Areas of Note (Please examine highlighted macro photos):
1. A tiny, faint superficial spot on the light blue ribbon (highlighted in red circle photo).
2. A minor faint spot in the upper background of the Baudin portrait (highlighted in red circle photo).
