30. ACCA AU，清末民初-定生貴子花錢，背上十，罕見 :
這枚是「定生貴子」花錢，屬於「祝子科」花錢，是當時新婚夫婦壓在箱底、掛在床頭，求生男孩、求孩子有出息的厭勝物。跟它同類的還有「連生貴子」、「玉堂抱子」。這類花錢從光緒到民國都有鑄造，方孔、穿口四周是楷書，背面穿口上方一個「十」字，有學者認為是作坊的記號或記值，但這枚的「十」是祈福語的可能性最大。這枚花錢有3好，品相好、寓意好、型制正，反映了晚清到民國，普通老百姓最真實的生育觀和民俗信仰。比起官鑄的制錢，這種花錢更有故事性。
30. ACCA AU, Late Qing to Early Republic "Ding Sheng Gui Zi" (May You Bear a Noble Son) Amulet Coin, with the character "Shi" (Ten) on the reverse; rare:
This is a "Ding Sheng Gui Zi" amulet coin—belonging to the category of charms wishing for offspring—which newlywed couples would place at the bottom of their chests or hang by their bedsides as talismans to pray for the birth of a son and a child who would achieve success in life. Other coins in this same genre include "Lian Sheng Gui Zi" (Successive Births of Noble Sons) and "Yu Tang Bao Zi" (Holding a Son in the Hall of Jade). Such amulets were minted from the Guangxu era through the Republic of China period; they feature a square central hole with Regular Script (Kaishu) characters surrounding it, and the character "Shi" (Ten) appears above the central hole on the reverse side. While some scholars interpret this "Shi" as a workshop mark or a denomination indicator, it is most likely a symbolic character representing a blessing. This piece boasts three key merits—excellent condition, auspicious symbolism, and a classic, well-proportioned form—reflecting the genuine views on childbearing and the folk beliefs held by ordinary people from the late Qing era through the Republic of China. Compared to official currency, these amulet coins carry a richer narrative quality.
