During Emperor Huizong's reign, politics were corrupt, and people suffered greatly, leading to numerous rebellions, which also generated many folk stories. He is one of the most famous emperors in Chinese history. Coins from the Song Dynasty hold an important place in China’s numismatic history because the Song Dynasty was a special era that placed great emphasis on calligraphy and writing, marking a peak in literature. Unlike previous dynasties, it was extremely rare to cast new coins with each change of era name. These two Zhenghe Tongbao coins both have beautiful green patina, and the scripts are different—one in Seal Script and one in Clerical Script. They are nearly 900 years old, so collectors should seize this opportunity.
