Description

A classic Excellent Super-Automatic vintage Swiss mechanical wristwatch from the 1960s, featuring a distinctive dark blue textured dial, gold-tone case and automatic ETA 2472 movement.

The dial has a beautiful linen-like textured surface with applied gold-tone hour markers and hands. The date aperture is positioned at 6 o’clock. The combination of the dark blue dial and gold-tone case gives the watch a strong mid-century dress-watch character.

The stainless-steel caseback is signed “AUTOMATIC – WATERPROOF – DISCUS-SAFE – D.B. PAT.” The original vintage markings are clearly visible in the photographs.

Condition

The watch is presented in its vintage condition. The dark blue textured dial is well preserved and retains its original character.

The gold-tone case shows age-related wear, surface scratches and some loss/wear to the plating, particularly visible around the bezel and lugs. The case has not been presented as newly restored. The acrylic crystal also shows signs of age and minor scratches.
