DESCRIPTION
The AF Micro-NIKKOR 55mm F2.8 was Nikon's first autofocus macro lens, made for only a few years in the late 1980s before the 60mm replaced it. It focuses continuously from infinity to 1:1 life size without any extension tube, and carries on the reputation for sharpness of the manual-focus 55mm Micro-Nikkors. It has an aperture ring, so it works on Nikon film bodies as well as on digital Nikons with a built-in focus motor.
