Beautiful vintage hand-woven runner rug, adorned with a colorful floral and geometric design from Romania.
The beige background is decorated in shades of burgundy, orange, pink, turquoise, green, and features a central medallion framed by a geometric border with decorative fringe along the shorter sides.
The rug is a charming example of traditional Romanian folk weaving, with an authentic vintage character, made of Wool on a cotton warp, hand-woven by groups of women from Smîrdan village, province of Dolj, on a traditional loom. It is framed by black borders with decorative fringe along the shorter sides.
It’s natural woven texture and size is suitable for adding character, color, and a touch of Eastern European folk art to a hallway, bedside, or eclectic interior.
The rug is in an overall good condition, little flaws and signs of the use and time according to it’s age. It is between 40 and 50 years old.

The rug has never been used and is brand new.
For year long preservation moth-repellent solutions have been and are used.
