VINIFICATION
After manual harvesting and careful selection of bunches, the grapes ferment at a controlled temperature in 5000 L French oak vats. Malolactic fermentation took place in new French oak barrels, where the wine aged for a further 24 months. After selecting the best barrels, it was bottled and rested in the bottle until its release.

TASTING NOTES
Visually, it is concentrated and creamy, cherry-colored, deep, and polished. The nose is assertive and seductive, revealing hints of red fruit compote and dark chocolate, as well as some crushed black fruit and fresh truffle. On the palate, it is enormous, with an "iron" structure, round tannins, and enveloped in the elegance of a silken cloak. A powerful wine that awakens sensations, finishes long, and invites a new and intriguing journey through the senses.

SERVING
A robust, indulgent, and refined Alentejo wine that calls for intense gastronomic experiences. To accompany this wine, we suggest a selection of strong cheeses, roast lamb or kid, or well-seasoned game dishes for a perfect pairing. Serve at a temperature between 16 °C and 18 °C.

HISTORY
Opened in 2007, Adega Mayor is the winemaking company of the Nabeiro Group.
Signed by Siza Vieira, it became the first signature winery in Portugal.
Extending over an area of 350 hectares of cork oak forests, riverside galleries and agricultural fields, Adega Mayor benefits from the Mediterranean ecosystem and an agricultural region with a strong tradition of vineyard and olive grove cultivation.
Between the Herdades das Argamassas, Godinha and Monte da Pina, in Campo Maior, the wines produced here are of unique character – a result of the granite conditions of the soil, the temperate climate and the geographic proximity of the Serra de São Mamede.
