Olga Tsisar - Nothing grows Here

Nothing Grows Here

Nothing Grows Here explores the fragile boundary between romantic idealization and quiet disappointment.

At first glance, the flowers appear vibrant, playful, and almost irresistibly sweet. Their exaggerated shapes and overly saturated colors create an illusion of perfect beauty a beauty so intense that it begins to feel artificial.

These are flowers that were never given. They symbolize unfulfilled expectations, imagined gestures of affection, and relationships that existed more beautifully in our minds than they ever could in reality.

As their colors begin to drip and their forms slowly dissolve, the sweetness becomes excessive, revealing the subtle bitterness beneath romantic illusions.

Yet there is no tragedy here. Only the gentle, almost ironic realization that sometimes we fall in love not with what exists, but with what we wish could exist.

A garden of beautiful things that were never meant to bloom.
