The Damien Drips series by Dr Drip draws on Damien Hirst's spot paintings and Yayoi Kusama's obsessive dots. Thick spots of colour meet, overlap and push against each other, in a play of contrasts and harmonies. Every spot is made by hand, so no two works are the same.
Die Damien Drips-Reihe des Künstlers Dr Drip greift Hirsts Spot-Paintings und Yayoi Kusamas obsessive Punkte auf. Dicke Farbflecken treffen aufeinander, überlappen sich und stossen gegeneinander, in einem Spiel von Kontrasten und Harmonien. Jeder Fleck wird von Hand geschaffen, daher ist kein Werk dem anderen identisch.

A piece that can hold a wall on its own, or join a collection that already has a sense of humour.

The work is in excellent condition and has been carefully stored. Small accidental drips or irregularities are inherent to the process and are considered part of the artwork.

The artwork is shipped flat between oversized rigid cardboard panels that protect every edge and corner. It includes a letter with framing instructions and a certificate of authenticity signed and stamped by Dr Drip.
Das Kunstwerk wird flach zwischen übergroßen starren Kartonplatten verschickt, die jede Kante und Ecke schützen. Es enthält einen Brief mit Rahmenhinweisen sowie ein Echtheitszertifikat, unterschrieben und gestempelt von Dr Drip.

Why the shipping cost is more than the courier fee: each package is custom-made by hand and takes around 30 minutes to prepare. The shipping cost covers the courier, full insurance, the packing materials and the handling time. Only reliable couriers are used, so the work arrives in the same condition it left the studio.
Warum die Versandkosten höher sind als die Kuriergebühren: Jedes Paket wird von Hand individuell gefertigt und benötigt etwa 30 Minuten zur Vorbereitung. Die Versandkosten decken Kurier, volle Versicherung, Verpackungsmaterials und Bearbeitungszeit ab. Es werden nur zuverlässige Kurierdienste genutzt, damit das Werk in demselben Zustand im Studio verlassen hat ankommt.
