Full Morrocco binding with gilt framed boards, gilt decorated and lettered spines, red edges, and marbled endpapers. New and corrected Ibarra edition with an engraved portrait, a folding map, and 23 plates after Antonio and Isidro Carnicero. Rubbing, bumping, wear, and some damage to the boards and spine. Vol I has a tear on page 279/280 and some tears and creases from incorrect folding on the fold-out map (see photos). In Vol III pages 215-217 are half loose, and the page numbering from 304-321 is mixed up. Vol IV has some soiling and damage to the text on page 305 (see photo). Browning and spotting throughout as usual. The text and illustrations are clear, and the binding is solid. Overall, a nice set in good- condition.
