High quality Japanese traditional hand carved wooden Noh mask - Yaseon'na痩女, finely carved with meticulous details and excellent workmanship.
It is used to represent the ghost of a woman who has passed away longing for her husband, such as the shite in "Minase" and "Kinuta." As the name suggests, the figure is thin and has prominent cheekbones, sunken eye sockets, and weak eyes that are lowered sadly. The matte face, painted a bluish yellow-brown, gives off an almost lifeless feeling.
Dimensions: 21 x 14.7 x 7 cm
