Swedish artist Erika Lagerbielke, created the glass vase "Solo". Height: 33cm. Erika Lagerbielke (b. 1960) studied industrial design at the University of Arts, Crafts and Design (Konstfack) in Stockholm. She is a professor of design at Linnaeus University, where she works with education and research in areas such as food artifacts and culture, the dining environment as a value generator and the sustainable development of glass. Lagerbielke began collaborating with Orrefors in 1982, while studying Arts, Crafts and Design, and achieved her biggest breakthrough with the "Intermezzo" collection in 1984. Among her most acclaimed special projects are the wedding gift to Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel Westling from the Swedish Parliament and Government in 2010, the Linnaeus University Vice-Chancellors' Network in 2010, the "Hook of Sigrid" for the Diocese of Växjö in 2011 and a special set for the Michelin restaurant "Operakällaren" in Stockholm in 2020. Lagerbielke has received the Swedish Design Award for Excellence three times: in 1985 for the "Orrefors Intermezzo", in 1995 for the "Orrefors Merlot" and in 2002 for the "Orrefors Difference" (special prize). For her Orrefors collections, she has also won the "Formex Formidable" award in Stockholm, the "International Tabletop Award" in Dallas and the "Deco Home Award – Produkte des Jahres" in Germany. She has also received the Prince Eugen Medal for Outstanding Artistic Achievement from His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf (2010) and the St. Erik Medal from the City of Stockholm (2014). Lagerbielke's collections "Intermezzo", "Difference", "Metropol", "Beer", "Merlot", "Enjoy" and "More" are currently produced by Orrefors.
