Rectaflex Rotor Italian camera made in Italy with 3 lenses and rare pistol grip. Complete and rare KIT. Analoge Kamera

The Rectaflex Rotor is one of the rarest and most fascinating variants of the Rectaflex production, born in the Rome of the “dolce vita,” probably inspired by the famous photographer Federico Patellani. It was conceived in 1953 as a technical evolution of the Rectaflex 1300, enhanced by a rotating turret with three interchangeable lenses, designed to offer maximum operational versatility. Rotor models were mounted on the 30000 series; it is estimated that only about fifty were actually assembled in Rotor configuration. The camera offered here carries serial number 31102. This particular one was produced for the French market in fact around the eyepiece it has the inscription Telos Paris which was the importer for France. But then it ended up being destined for the American market, The American series, made in 1954, is easily recognizable by the marking "PAT. U.S.A. n2569,516-168,088" engraved on the back and is now considered the rarest ever. The original Rotors produced by Rectaflex bore the double marking “Rectaflex” and “Rotor” on the pentaprism, a detail absent in many of the later reconstructions or forgeries, often made from other modified Rectaflexes. Inside the base of the camera is the engraving “Rectaflex Rome made in Italy.” The camera is in excellent condition: the shutter works properly on all speeds, and the curtains are in excellent condition, with no tears or holes. The leather cover is completely original and the optical viewfinder is clear and clean. The Rotor turret rotates perfectly and houses three lenses: an Officine Galileo Rectar 50mm f2.8, a 90mm f2.5, and an Angenieux type Y2 135mm f3.5. All lenses are in good condition. Cleaning marks and light signs of use are visible. No scratches, no fungus inside, no haze, no separation between lenses. Lenses focus smoothly and aperture apertures are dry and clean. Great for your collection. Not easy to find, no reserve on this auction, obviously sold as is because of age. Included in the package is the pistol grip. Today the Rectaflex Rotor is considered one of the rarest and most desirable pieces for Rectaflex collectors and a symbol of Italian design ambition in the field of photography.
