NWA 17755 CV3 NWA 17755 CV3 kohlenstoffreiche Chondrit - 8 g - (1)

Name: NWA 17755 - A complete, uncut stone with abundant chondrules and CAI's on the surface. Type: CV3 Weight: 8 grams Fall/Find Date: Found in Northwest Africa circa 2024 Total Known Weight: 500 g Description: Beautiful CV3 with abundant chondrules and pre-solar grains, including PO and POP type chondrules, CAIs and AOAs. Calcium–aluminum-rich inclusions (CAIs) are the oldest known solids in the solar system, formed from high-temperature condensates in the solar nebula over 4.56 billion years ago. Amoeboid Olivine Aggregates (AOAs) are irregularly shaped, fine-grained objects common in carbonaceous chondrites, consisting of olivine, Ca-Al-rich inclusions (CAIs), and FeNi-metal. They are important because their mineralogy and isotopic compositions provide crucial evidence for nebular processes and subsequent alteration on their parent bodies, helping to constrain models of early Solar System evolution. We purchased multiple, complete stones from a dealer in Algeria. The Majority of the stones have fresh fusion crust and abundant, equilibrated chondrules visible on cut faces. We subsequently had them classified as NWA 17755 a Carbonaceous Chondrite of the type CV3. A McKinley Meteorites classification. All meteorites are guaranteed authentic and include a COA as well as historical specimen / collection cards if available. All meteorites are described or named in accordance with Meteoritical Society and Nom Com standards. Shipping can be combined on multiple items unless noted otherwise. Scale cube for demonstrative purposes only and is not included. Return Policy: Returns are accepted. Return the item in its original condition within 14 days of receipt for a full refund. Buyer pays for return shipping.
