佐賀 有田焼 Saga Aritayaki - Teetasse - Keramik - Galaxy Universe Chawan

Arita-yaki Chawan – “Stars of the Sky” This exquisite Arita-yaki tea bowl is decorated to resemble the stars of the sky, showcasing the beauty of Japanese ceramic artistry. The Ginga glaze used on this piece is a unique technique developed to evolve the Yohen Oil-Spot Tenmoku glaze, which was highly prized by historical figures such as Oda Nobunaga and Toyotomi Hideyoshi. This technique is extremely challenging, and most pieces do not survive the kiln firing. Each firing produces unique patterns and crystal formations, making every bowl truly one-of-a-kind. Included: 2 tea bowls Booklet Paulownia wooden box Dimensions: Diameter: 11.3 cm Height: 5.5 cm Foot diameter: 4.5 cm Weight: 180 g Perfect for collectors of Japanese ceramics, Arita-yaki, or exquisite tea ceremony items, this chawan embodies the elegance and rarity of traditional Japanese craftsmanship. About Arita-yaki Arita-yaki is the birthplace of Japanese porcelain with a 400-year history, and it is Japan’s most famous type of ceramic. Historically, it was traded at very high prices to royalty and nobility around the world via the Dutch East India Company, earning the nickname “White Gold of the East”. Arita-yaki had a significant influence on the founding of European porcelain factories, including Meissen. In the early Meiji period, it received top awards at international expositions, gaining recognition and acclaim worldwide. Because it was once exported from Imari Port, Arita-yaki is sometimes also referred to as Imari-yaki.
