History: The company was founded in Dresden in 1828. After World War II, it became a state-owned enterprise in the GDR (East Germany) under the name VEB Steingutfabrik Strehla and closed in 1989.
Products: In the 1960s and 1970s, Strehla Keramik primarily produced vases and flowerpots, which were exported in large quantities to countries including the Netherlands.
Characteristics: Strehla Keramik products were often made of brown clay and had muted colors, sometimes with a metallic glaze over the base glaze.
Marking: The mark on the base is often an imprinted or stamped hexagon with the name "Strehla" inside, as shown in the image.
