Apple 1984 Macintosh PICASSO Box AZERTY Keyboard [M0110F] - Computer - In Originalverpackung

>> FORWORD
Please don't make any assumptions, but READ the (full) accompanying text – and look at (all) the photos "very carefully" to avoid disappointments. Being an Apple enthusiast, I have collected RARE and VALUABLE hardware and software for my co-sentimental Apple companions. The lucky Macintosh Apple enthusiast can supplement his/her collection with this legendary collector's item: the “Macintosh 128/512/ PLUS keyboard [M0110F]” in ORIGINAL BOX. The refurbished keyboard is ready to use (fully working) – and gives you a glimp of Apple's history. In the eighties this keyboard belonged to a Belgian professor, teaching at the Bruxelles University: "VUB (Vrije Universiteit Brussel)". // The Enduring Appeal of Macintosh Picasso Artwork The famous Macintosh Picasso logo was developed for the introduction of the original 128k Mac back in 1984. A minimalist line drawing in the style of Pablo Picasso, this whimsical graphic implied the whole of a computer in a few simple strokes. It was an icon of what was inside the box, and became as famous as the computer it represented. The logo was designed by Tom Hughes and John Casado, art directors on the Mac development team. Originally the logo was to be a different concept called The Macintosh Spirit by artist Jean-Michel Folon, but before the release Steve Jobs changed his mind and had it replaced by the simple and colorful drawing by Hughes and Casado. It’s been beloved ever since, and the graphic style has endured across decades. Apple used the Picasso artwork extensively, as a complete piece and as component elements. For the 128k and 512k Macs, the outer box contained the complete graphic. For optional accessory boxes – like this keyboard box – just a part of the graphic was used, some of which are quite rare these days: as this keyboard for 128k/512k Macs. // REFURBISHED GERM-FREE APPLE PLUS KEYBOARD (M0110A F) The keyboard is completely disassembled and cleaned professionally (see pictures). In my opinion it is my responsibility (as a seller) to provide a Germ-Free keyboard (a 2018 study found that 96% of the keyboards were contaminated with bacteria). So, I think we can agree that nobody wants a nasty, infected keyboard. The non-working "keyboard switches" were replaced. The 1984 keyboard is fully working. PS/ The M0110 was the first Macintosh keyboard and used Alps switches exclusively. IMPORTANT: You need the right operating system (e.g. Finder version 5.3). Otherwise the "enter" en "spacebar" key will not respond. PS/ back then, the keyboard setup was configured in the operating system. // ALL KEYS WORK! (lot of vintage keyboard's don't fully work – this one is "fully repaired")! FYI: the M0110A keyboard is compatible with the Macintosh 128/512 and Plus. // SPECS Model Number: M0110A F (AZERTY) Made in Ireland.
// IMPORTANT – A NOTE ON YELLOWED PLASTICS!
 Some words on the yellowing.

Old computer cases are made of ABS plastics which contain at that time "BROMINE". The element bromine reacts over the time of years with UV light and causes (not-even) "yellowing"*. The bromine yellowing is not even. I mean. Some parts age differently. Take into account the fact that the plastic case shows "some stains" en "cosmetical imperfections" that are unfortunately difficult to capture. But they are there!
Please, if you find the aforementioned "stains" and "imperfections" a problem, it is recommended that you do NOT bid on this item. Again … the yellowed plastic* is not easy to capture on camera. FYI/ Experienced collectors love the "aging-bromine-yellowing". You can compare it with "patina" on vintage furnitures. For connoisseurs it transforms the-surface-of-a-piece from the ordinary to the exceptional – and it tells a story … and brings on the appeal of objects that show their age openly. But again … it is important to know that this specific Mac has PATINA. // What is included? – The original box with (original) Styrofoam; – The M0110A F keyboard (be aware: the “telephone cord-like" cable to connect to the computer is not included). But it's easy to find on dedicated vintage Macintosh platforms. // PACKAGING & SHIPPING The keyboard bundle is packaged securely and carefully for safe shipment. Moreover, this bundle is shipped INSURED because of its precious value. Because of the precious content extra attention is paid to the CUSTOM packaging. This extra cost is included in the shipping price. "One More Thing" – Steve Jobs quote Don't miss this unique opportunity. Great opportunities don't come everyday! Let the bidding begin … for this legendary BOXED 128/512/ Plus Keyboard! "One More Thing" When in doubt, check my positive customer reviews ;) (… because there are some "copycats" out there who copy my style/text and pretend to be me). There is only one "VISENTO"! That's me ;)
