Studio Yann Gandon x Maxime Sauce - Bank - Eiche, Flagline Flax natürliches Seil - Knot Bank

Design and made in Denmark by Studio Yann Gandon and Maxime Sauce - A unique piece of furniture featured in magazines like Nytt Rom. The Knot Bench redefines joinery with simplicity and innovation showcasing a unique use of rope intricately twisted to hold solid wood pieces together. The Knot Bench emerges from research into alternative joinery methods, eliminating the need for glue, screws, or bolts. Instead, the bench is held together using a simple yet effective system of knots and ropes, inspired by different lashing techniques. This piece features 6mm Flagline Flax Natural rope while the wood is machined with CNC cutting technology that precisely guides the rope to sit flush within the 24mm thickness of the oak. By reimagining traditional joinery, the Knot Bench offers a fresh perspective on conscious design, where simplicity and ingenuity are paramount. Type: bench Materials: Oiled solid oak, Flagline Flax natural rope 6mm Dimensions in mm: 1300x400x400 Condition: there is a minor mark at the bottom legs as per the photo.
