Art Nouveau Buntglasfenster - 1910-1920 - Amsterdam original

Art Nouveau Stained-Glass Window (ca. 1910) - Amsterdam Imagine the warm afternoon sun casting coloured reflections across your interior — soft yellows, rose-tinted borders, and a subtle hint of green that echoes early 20th-century craftsmanship. This authentic stained-glass window, salvaged from a historic house in the centre of Amsterdam, brings that timeless atmosphere straight into your home. A true decorative element that transforms any room, whether displayed as a hanging panel, placed in front of a window, or integrated into a new architectural feature. A high-end quality piece with its original wooden frame in solid condition. The frame is strong and stable; if desired, you can easily remove the stained-glass panel by taking off the original glazing strips. The glass shows the classic Art Nouveau geometry typical of Dutch urban homes from the early 1900s: elegant lines, stylized shapes, and warm colour transitions made with traditional mouth-blown glass. The middle mirror glass panel is faceted and has been beautifully aged. No chips or cracks in the glass and the soldering is in a solid state. Period: ca. 1910 Origin: Amsterdam city centre Condition: In vintage, unrestored condition with signs of age that add to its authentic charm. Please review the many photos for an accurate impression. Dimensions Outer frame size: 50 x 45,5 cm (h x w) Inner glass: app 42 x 35 cm (h x w) Weight: app 2,5 Kg. Historical context Around 1895–1915, Amsterdam embraced the Art Nouveau movement. Residential buildings from this era often featured finely designed stained-glass panels above doors and windows. These panels used soft colours and geometric patterns to bring artistry into everyday architecture. Many have disappeared due to renovations, making surviving examples increasingly collectible and ideal for decorative re-use.
