2020 Château Croix de Labrie - Saint-Émilion Grand Cru - 2 Flaschen (0,75 l)

Perfect bottles in perfect condition. See pictures for the exact status of labels, levels and capsules. Château Croix de Labrie, how it moved from a small “garage wine” to a sought-after label: In the late 20th century, a type of small-scale, high-attention winemaking emerged on the Right Bank of Bordeaux under the name “garage wines” (vin de garage) — characterised by tiny parcels, limited production, premium treatments, and a certain outsider spirit. Château Croix de Labrie entered into that world: when it had only a couple of hectares under vine in the early 1990s, with artisanal approach and boutique scale. The estate’s wine-making was intense, yield-limited, and crafted with higher ambition than many conventional Bordeaux estates of similar size. Tiny production: The small size of the vineyard and the low yields mean limited availability, which naturally increases desirability. Quality-focus & modern winemaking: With experienced consultants and a push to refine vineyard care and barrel ageing, the wines quickly began attracting serious critical attention. Recognition & classification progress: The estate was elevated in status (notably in the Saint‑Émilion Grand Cru Classé 2022 revision) — this kind of official acknowledgement helps embed the “cult” aura. Hype & rarity: The combination of standout reviews, limited supply and this “garage wine” back-story gives it the ingredients of what many collectors seek when they talk of a cult Bordeaux: exclusivity, story, and quality. (decanter Magazine) No shipment of alcoholic beverages to Canada, USA, Russia, Mexico, Brazil, Gibraltar, Guernesy, Jersey because of custom regulations. Buyer is responsible for all further costs due to custom regulations. Also when goods are rejected or returned. BREXIT: Shipments to the UK may be delayed due to slow Customs clearance. You can also be charged UK import duties.
