Alessi NUVEM Flower Vase. Flower vase in anodized aluminium with plastic tubes, was designed by Brazilian brothers Fernando and Humberto Campana in 2007. It Measures approx. 10 x 10 x 21 cm. “Nuvem” means cloud in Portuguese. It is a reference to the skein of aluminium wire, tangled and then squashed and drawn, that forms the objects in this family. It wasn't easy to find a production technology that was capable of preserving the exquisitely craftsmanlike, manual and random attributes of this concept by the Campana brothers. The result is an example of what we call "lightness and consistency", values that feature highly in the work of these Brazilian talents. No longer manufactured and already a hard to find Collectors Item. In good condition, fitting for its age and use (the protective felt pads under the vase are there to prevent damage to your surfaces and can be removed if desired).
