This very rare Faberge diorama egg was made in a small limited series in the 1990's by the House of Faberge in cooperation with Franklin MInt. In all, this series covered 12 of the most important events in the life of Jesus Christ the Son of God and Mary and Joseph. This egg is one of them. Finest blue-enamelled porcelain and the base and tip are gilded with 24 carat gold. The figures were elaborately painted by hand. The egg is signed on the bottom with an individual handwritten serial number.
