1907, Christian F. Heise, Art Nouveau - Servierlöffel - Silber
A big and beautiful Danish silver serving spoon in a classic Art Nouveau design, made in 1907 by Christian F. Heise, who served as Danish assay master from 1904 to 1932.
The spoon features a richly decorated handle in a wonderful Jugend design, with elegant garlands, ribbon details, and sculptural relief that reflects the high level of craftsmanship from the Art Nouveau era in Denmark.
The bowl is hand-engraved with a delicate floral motif, framed by softly flowing lines.
On the back, the spoon is stamped with the Danish three towers silver control mark, confirming Copenhagen assay, along with the year mark 07 for 1907. It is also marked with CFH, the assay master’s mark of Christian F. Heise, who served as Danish assay master from 1904 to 1932. His mark guarantees the silver standard and places the piece firmly within the golden period of Danish Art Nouveau silver production.
This spoon was produced during a time when Danish silver design was at its peak, and it represents work from an important and respected name of the period rather than a small local workshop. It is 118 years old, and still looking stunning today.
The condition is lovely, with light surface wear and fine scratches. The spoon is not bent and sits exactly as it should, with a very nice appearance.
