Uchronia & Catawiki Auction: a Parisian Café at Maison & Objet
Catawiki presents an auction of groundbreaking design pieces in collaboration with multidisciplinary collective Uchronica. At this year’s Maison&Objet design fair, Uchronica designed a stunning temporary café space. Known for their preservation of pre-existing elements and creative (re-)use of materials, Uchronica imagined a way in which their ephemeral pop-up design could have a permanent life beyond the event. The outcome? A Catawiki auction of the Uchronica Café furniture. Bid on flower shaped tables, artful pillows, handmade custom chairs and other signature Uchronica designs. All profits are donated to Institut Rafaël: an organisation that supports patients in their life after cancer.
