Questa è una lampada a pantografo estendibile, un oggetto intramontabile che unisce funzionalità e design industriale.
Negli anni '60, in un'officina torinese immersa nell'odore del ferro e dell'olio da taglio, un artigiano installò sul bordo del suo banco da lavoro una lampada a pantografo. Era un modello solido, in acciaio cromato, con un braccio estendibile che permetteva di portare la luce esattamente dove serviva: sopra un circuito da saldare, su una molla da piegare, su un ingranaggio da lucidare.
Il pantografo, con la sua struttura a fisarmonica, era un piccolo capolavoro di ingegneria quotidiana: semplice, regolabile, resistente. La testa della lampada, quella che oggi vedi con il manico in legno tornito, si poteva orientare a piacere grazie a una giunzione snodabile. Con il tempo, il legno si scurì per via del contatto costante con le mani dell’artigiano, impregnate di lavoro e dedizione.
Per decenni, questa lampada illuminò progetti piccoli e grandi. Vide passare la transizione dalla radio a valvole ai primi circuiti integrati, e forse fu testimone di notti insonni passate a riparare una macchina o costruire un prototipo.
