Kleurrijke Konya Hotamiș kelim, wol op wol, geverfd met natuurlijke verfstoffen. Het repeterende symbool in de rijen van het middenveld vertegenwoordigt de moedergodin, een symbool dat ruim 7000 jaar teruggaat in de tijd. Dit symbool staat voor vrouwelijkheid en vruchtbaarheidswens. Voorts diverse beschermingtekens zoals ramshoorns, symbool voor mannelijke kracht en bescherming, wolfsbekken, bescherming tegen het noodlot en haken in de rand tussen het middenveld en buitenrand. Haken dienen ter afweer van het boze oog.
De Hotamiș  zijn een volk afstammend van Afșar Turken in Iran. Eeuwen geleden hebben ze zich gevestigd in een schraal en droog gebied in de provincie Konya bij de plaats Karaman. Dit met de bedoeling om niet gevonden te worden. De plaats heet tegenwoordig ook Hotamis. Op meerdere plaatsen in Turkije heeft deze stam zich gevestigd. De kelims van de Hotamis zijn kleurrijk en contrasteren met hun kale leefomgeving.
