La Writers Edition 2013 di Montblanc è una prestigiosa serie limitata dedicata al celebre scrittore francese Honoré de Balzac. Come in ogni edizione limitata della Maison, anche in questo caso i dettagli rendono omaggio alla personalità e all’opera dell'autore celebrato. Le iniziali di Balzac sono finemente incise, con un carattere tipico dell’epoca, sul pennino in oro massiccio 750. Gli anelli decorativi della penna rappresentano le tre principali classi sociali francesi del XIX secolo, descritte magistralmente ne La Comédie humaine: l’anello superiore del cappuccio, sontuoso e impreziosito da finiture dorate, simboleggia la nobiltà; l’anello centrale rappresenta la borghesia, mentre il semplice anello posto sul cono allude alle classi meno abbienti. Il design e la forma della penna riflettono la figura imponente e lo stile di Balzac. Il cono della stilografica, in particolare, richiama le scarpe a punta che lo scrittore era solito indossare. I toni grigio scuro del corpo in lacca, alternati a raffinate linee decorative sul cappuccio, richiamano l’abbigliamento quotidiano dell’autore. A completare il tributo, la firma di Balzac è incisa elegantemente sul cappuccio, rendendo ogni dettaglio di questa edizione un omaggio autentico e ricercato
