"Presentiamo in questa asta una libreria modulare italiana degli anni '60, un esempio significativo del design mid-century. Realizzata in legno di teak, questa libreria si distingue per la sua modularità e la cura dei dettagli.

Sebbene non disponiamo di informazioni specifiche sul designer o sull'azienda produttrice, è probabile che questa libreria sia stata realizzata nell'area della Brianza, rinomata per la sua specializzazione nella produzione di mobili di questo tipo negli anni '60.

Il mobile è composto da diversi elementi: tre montanti verticali, una cassettiera, un mobiletto con anta a ribalta, un mobiletto a due ante e sette mensole, che possono essere disposti a piacere, offrendo una notevole flessibilità di configurazione. I pomoli e i piedini in ottone sono dettagli originali, che aggiungono un tocco di raffinatezza.

La libreria è stata oggetto di un restauro conservativo, volto a preservare l'autenticità del mobile. Il restauro ha riguardato principalmente la pulizia e la lucidatura del legno, nonché la riparazione di eventuali piccoli danni. L'obiettivo è stato quello di mantenere il più possibile l'aspetto originale del mobile, rispettando la patina del tempo.

Le dimensioni della libreria sono: altezza 206 cm, larghezza 252 cm, profondità 42 cm.

Questo mobile rappresenta un esempio tipico del design italiano degli anni '60, un periodo particolarmente florido per la creatività e l'innovazione. In quegli anni, l'Italia si affermò come uno dei centri nevralgici del design mondiale, grazie a una combinazione di talento artigianale, audacia progettuale e spirito di sperimentazione. Il design italiano di quegli anni si caratterizzava per la sua capacità di coniugare funzionalità ed estetica, dando vita a oggetti che non erano solo belli da vedere, ma anche pratici e innovativi. La modularità di questa libreria, con i suoi montanti verticali che supportano i vari elementi, è un esempio di questa tendenza, che mirava a creare mobili versatili e adattabili alle diverse esigenze abitative.
