The Cosmopolitan: This iconic cocktail gained popularity in the 1990s but traces its origins to the 1970s. A blend of vodka, triple sec, cranberry juice, and fresh lime, the Cosmopolitan became a symbol of sophistication, particularly after its association with the TV series Sex and the City.

The Cosmopolitan has debated origins, but one of the most widely credited creators is Toby Cecchini, a bartender in New York City, who refined the modern version of the cocktail in the 1980s. However, a similar drink was first made in the 1970s by Neal Murray in Minneapolis. He reportedly added cranberry juice to a Kamikaze cocktail and named it the Cosmopolitan when a customer remarked, "How cosmopolitan!
