Meer info kunstenaar:
Michiel Folkers a.k.a. Gieler (1982) begon eind jaren negentig met graffiti in Amsterdam. Jaren later ruilde hij de straatmuren in voor canvas in zijn studio. In veel van zijn werk is het gevoel van de straten nog goed terug te voelen. Hij is vooral bekend om zijn gelaagde schilderijen, grote werken waarin hij kleurrijke straatposters combineert met spuitbus- en acrylverf. Hij verzamelt deze straatposters zelf voor elk individueel artwork en gebruikt dit als basis voor al zijn stukken. 

Op dit moment gaat zijn werk de hele wereld over en exposeert hij in galeries van Zürich tot aan New York. Vooral in Amerika is zijn werk populair en hangt hij bij meerdere 'famous people' in huis.
