An elegant & Spectacular sauce/gravy boat on fixed oval saucer from CHRISTOFLE, It is part of Christofle's Malmaison collection, which typifies the Empire style with its frieze of delicate palm and lotus leaves and symmetrical design.
The name "Malmaison" refers to the Chateau de la Malmaison, a favored residence of Napoleon Bonaparte and Empress Josephine. 

That’s why the model has the shape of the emperor’s famous hat.

It is stamped and has a serial number on the edge of the sauce boat as well on the bottom.

It present some usage sign at the bottom of the sauce boat , as well as on the main tray.
