Se l’Appia berlina di serie evidenzia la parentela con l’elegantissima Aurelia, la coupé di Pinin Farina si ispira alla nuova ammiraglia Flaminia.

La parte anteriore, con il cofano caratterizzato dalla lunga presa dinamica e dai parafanghi che terminano nei fari tondi, riprende le linee dell’Ammiraglia Flaminia, mentre posteriormente spiccano le classiche "pinne all’americana", caratteristiche del desgin automobilistico dell'epoca.

L’originale abitacolo si distingue per un’ampia superficie vetrata e per il padiglione colorato a contrasto. Quest’ultimo è sostenuto dal caratteristico montante a V e profilato con ampie cromature, tanto da ricordare l’hard top o la capote chiusa di una spider.  Eleganti e lussuosi gli interni, dispongono anche di un divanetto posteriore in grado di offrire due posti ”di fortuna”, come si diceva all’epoca.

Più elegante che sportiva, l’Appia Coupé Pinin Farina è molto amata dal mondo del jet set ed in particolare dal raffinato pubblico femminile. L’attrice Sylva Koscina, nelle riprese del film di Luigi Zampa “Il vigile” (1960) con Alberto Sordi, appare alla guida di un'Appia coupé. Pare che la vettura fosse realmente di proprietà dell'attrice, che affermava di essere capace di guidare una sola macchina: la sua Appia Pinin Farina.

Vettura da restaurare completamente, ferma e custodita al chiuso dal 1985. 
Tutte le parti disponibili come da foto e tutta la documentazione autentica con libretto originale di circolazione e libro uso e manutenzione, due precedenti proprietari.
