Levrier Couche En Porcelaine De Paris - Ep. Debut XIXe"
RARE représentation d’un lévrier couché, au modelé élégant et naturaliste, à décor polychrome. L’animal, allongé de tout son long, repose paisiblement sur une base rectangulaire imitant le marbre , encadrée d’une moulure dorée(Il y a des éraflures.)

Le pelage du chien est finement traité dans un dégradé subtil de bruns, noirs et gris, mettant en valeur les volumes du corps et la finesse anatomique caractéristique de la race. Les détails du museau, des yeux et des oreilles sont d’un réalisme saisissant.

Ce type de sujet animalier, très apprécié sous l’Empire et la Restauration, ornait souvent les cheminées ou les vitrines de collection dans les intérieurs raffinés.

Aujourd’hui, ces pièces sont rares, et figurent parmi les sujets animaliers les plus recherchés de la production parisienne du début du XIX? siècle.
