Importante e raffinato dipinto a olio su tela di grandi dimensioni raffigurante una natura morta da dispensa con cacciagione e un gatto, datato 1714.

La composizione è ricca di dettagli ordinati e colori vibranti: presenta una grande varietà di volatili (tra cui un picchio rosso maggiore splendidamente dipinto in basso al centro, un'anatra e altri piccoli passeriformi), una mezzena di carne appesa a un gancio, un cesto di vimini sullo sfondo e un gatto che sbuca da dietro la cacciagione, aggiungendo un tipico tocco barocco di dinamismo domestico.

Artista/Attribuzione: Firmato "Balth. Pieter" (o Balthasar Peter) sul margine destro in basso, vicino alle uova. La firma e la data sono disposte verticalmente.

Epoca/Data: 1714 (Coeva all'opera, confermata dall'esame alla lampada di Wood).
