Antico cavalletto per dipinti e quadri in legno mogano del XIX secolo.
Altamente scenografico e riccamente intagliato con motivi ornamentali, presenta una struttura caratterizzata da decorazioni a volute e motivi fogliacei traforati e un terminale superiore impreziosito da una splendida cimasa a conchiglia. 
La composizione è arricchita da elementi ornamentali laterali a foglia stilizzata e da riccioli scolpiti alla base, che conferiscono movimento e profondità all’insieme. 
La base lineare modanata composta dagli eleganti montanti laterali si collega al sostegno centrale regolabile. 
Il cavalletto è dotato del fermo, un pregiato elemento intagliato e decorato con piccolo ripiano sagomato, sul retro è presente un sostegno inclinato che ne garantisce la stabilità.

L’oggetto, per conformazione e proporzioni, può essere identificato come leggio o espositore destinato al supporto per dipinti, quadri, placche decorative, porta spartiti, porta libro o supporto per fotografie.
