Vintage  Lemania ''MOONPHAS Chronograph'' Watch


Lemania was founded in 1884 by watchmaker Alfred Lugrin in the L'Orient region of Switzerland. The brand, which was initially known by its own name, later became "Lemania Watch Co." in the 1920s. It specialized in the production of chronographs (timers) and mechanical complications. Lemania produced high-precision movements and supplied calibers to major brands such as Omega and Patek Philippe.

In 1932, it merged with Omega and Tissot to become the SSIH Group (this group later became the basis of the Swatch Group).

The legendary Lemania 321 caliber of the Omega Speedmaster was used in the Moonwatch, the first watch to go to the moon in 1969. Although Lemania is no longer an independent brand in the watchmaking world, it is still respected for its technical heritage.
