Né en 1977, Jone Hopper est un artiste Francais.
Fin des année 80, il fait ses "classes" dans la rue au travers d'un mouvement émergent à cette époque, le graffiti. Il tague son nom dans la rue, sur les murs et sur les trains. Reconnu pour ses personnages et ses signatures à l’aérosol, il crée le collectif TBS (The Brutal Style) avec Skepa et quelques autres graffiteurs engagés. Nous savons peu de choses à son sujet car l'artiste reste fidèle à l'esprit du graffiti et désire rester anonyme, considérant que c'est l'œuvre qui doit être mise en avant et non le personnage. Inexistant sur les réseaux sociaux, absent des vernissages, artiste sans visage, il reste un véritable mystère sauf pour quelques galeristes dans la confidence. Il compare sa peinture à un morceau de Hip Hop, empruntent à Basquiat, Keith Haring, Picasso, Matisse, Andy Warhol ou même Bacon, pioche dans tous les courants picturaux, de l'art Moderne au Contemporaine en passant par le Classique, il agit comme un sampler... échantillonne, découpe, assemble et crée ainsi de nouvelles images.
