Mini Cooper S | 40th anniversary edition | 10-1999 | 2 owners | 42,000 km!

This original Mini Cooper 40th is in very neat condition! Purchased from the 2nd owner in Italy who maintained it to perfection.
The dry climate, heated storage and the fact that it was only used for short trips ensured that this Mini is still in very good condition after 24 years. 

The Mini Cooper is a 40th anniversary edition. This special edition of the last series of Classic Minis is very rare and was released in an edition of only 400 pieces in Italy! 
This red version is very special because of the metallic gold glow, the beautiful burgundy-red leather, the aluminium dashboard with 40th magnolia gauges and full leather finish.
The previous owner maintained the Mini neatly and stored it warm under a cover in a garage near Monza. The mileage is 42,000 km.

For the enthusiast with an eye for detail who is looking for one of the most special Classic Minis of the moment and one of the best investments!

Exterior:
Wonderful Mulberry dark-red metallic paint / lacquer, with an original gold trim and the eccentric 12" Minilight rims with tyres that are as good! 
The paint / lacquer shows no signs of ageing and is in very neat condition, no damage, dents or scratches. 
The fender wideners are original and were neatly painted in the same colour as the car and feature the original rubbers.
The chrome is like new, it has two neat stainless steel bumpers, a 9-slat chrome grill, 2 extra stainless steel spotlights and green tinted windows with heating.
The Mini Cooper features a rare 40th edition bonnet badge, wing badge on the tailgate, GB chrome letters on the tailgate and new window rubbers, strips and door seals.


Interior:
Beautiful and in very good condition and completely original! The interior is characterised by the burgundy-red seats and rear seat with beige piping and finish, the carpeting is neat as well. 
The top and bottom dashboard panels have the same leather finish, as well as the door panels and gear stick cover! The dashboard itself is made of brushed aluminium which was originally supplied with the 40th edition, the gauges are by Smiths and feature magnolia white dials with a 40th-edition logo.
The steering wheel, equipped with an airbag, is fully made of leather and finished in the same red leather colour as the piping of the seats, the gear knob is also in this style!
The original MINI radio/CD player is very rare and a highly sought-after item.
There is a set of new original red Cooper mats with CW logo and finish on the floor.
The interior is finished from A to Z, the headliner is like new and the leather is beautiful! This Mini has never been smoked in.

Mechanics:
In very good condition, a feast for the eyes when you open the bonnet! More than 65 hp and only maintained with original parts!
The engine runs great, the car is fitted with an alarm and immobiliser, the four-speed manual gearbox shifts perfectly.
The heater functions well and so do all electronics such as the lighting, windscreen wipers, etc.
We have checked all mechanics, the valves were adjusted, oil and filters were changed and replaced, the suspension is like new, equipped with disc brakes at the front, brake booster and new fluids.
Technically one of the better Classic Minis we have ever seen.

Bottom:
The entire bottom is in good condition, the bottom is original and has never been welded. The sills are neat and there is no rust or damage. Floorboards R and L slightly dented  by the vehicle lift. 
Equipped with the original sub frame, the original exhaust and all brakes and pipes are in good condition.
The Mini does not leak or lose oil and was fully treated with an ML protective coating.

This extensive description clearly shows how neat this Mini is, with a low mileage and a perfect and a very good investment on top of that!
Driving this Cooper is lovely, the 65  hp makes for a true rally feel.
