Scultura in Biscuit "Satiro e Baccante" – Porcellana di Parigi – XIX Secolo.
Questo gruppo scultoreo in porcellana biscuit raffigura il celebre soggetto mitologico di "Satiro e Baccante", tratto dal noto modello creato dallo scultore James Pradier nel 1834, il cui originale in marmo è oggi conservato presso il Museo del Louvre. L'opera si inserisce nell'ambito della produzione della Porcellana di Parigi della seconda metà dell'Ottocento ed è caratterizzata da una base internamente cava con pareti ad alto spessore, che conferiscono all'esemplare un peso reale di circa 3 kg e 500 grammi. Le dimensioni complessive sono di 26 cm in altezza, 26 cm in larghezza e 18 cm in profondità, misure che risultano pienamente coerenti con i moduli e i formati tipici adottati per gli esemplari da salotto realizzati in quel periodo. Sotto la base, la porcellana reca impresso a crudo un piccolo marchio inciso in creux che raffigura una creatura stilizzata. Questo punzone si inserisce nella tradizione dei marchi zoomorfi (piccoli crostacei, insetti o animali marini) storicamente utilizzati da laboratori e sformatori parigini dell'epoca; tra le ipotesi di studio, si segnalano in particolare le analogie con i punzoni della manifattura di Gille Jeune.
L'oggetto si presenta strutturalmente stabile e rivestito dalla patina antica coerente con l'epoca. Per garantire la massima trasparenza della descrizione, si segnalano una sbeccatura localizzata sul corno destro del satiro e la presenza di alcune linee di capello sulla porcellana, felure superficiali fisiologiche per la natura e l'età del pezzo. Si allegano alla presente scheda numerose foto dettagliate che documentano con precisione lo stato d'uso, il marchio inciso, la cavità interna della base e ogni minimo difetto menzionato.
