Ensemble de 41 pièces formant ménagère de l’orfèvre GERO (Gerritsen & van Kempen, aux Pays-Bas), modèle Excellence ou 234, dessiné dans les années 60 par Dick Simonis, produit de 1962 à 1975. 

Design épuré et sobre, élégant.

Le manche des couverts présente des cannelures verticales (des rainures) qui parcourent presque toute la longueur du manche, ce qui lui donne une texture linéaire très visible.

Le style du nez des couteaux est arrondi, plutôt doux, avec une lame qui se raccorde sans rupture brutale avec le manche. (Voir les images : la jonction est douce et sans ornement superflu.)

Un classique des productions MCM, rare à trouver, en particulier avec autant de pièces de service.
