Set of 6 Sterling Silver (.925) Spoons – Sheffield 1938 – in Original Murdock’s Cape Town Case

A fine set of six sterling silver (.925) long-handled spoons, fully hallmarked for Sheffield, 1938, and retailed by Murdock’s of Cape Town, South Africa.
This elegant set represents classic English interwar silver craftsmanship, with an interesting colonial provenance.

Each spoon bears full British hallmarks:
   •   Crown – Sheffield Assay Office
   •   Lion passant – Sterling silver (.925)
   •   Date letter “N” – 1938
   •   Maker’s mark “S I G” (likely Sheffield silversmith, active late 1930s)
