Radha in lega di rame fusa a cera persa e cesellato.
La dea Radha, sposa di Krishna e dea della gentilezza e dell'amore. 
È raffigurata ingioiellata, in piedi , con i fianchi larghi e la vita sottile, la sua figura è sensuale e sinuosa, i grandi seni sono scoperti, i capelli sono pettinati all'indietro e raccolti sul retro. Una piccola ageminatura di argento a forma di luna sulla fronte e sopra un piccolo tilaka ageminato in oro.
La storia d'amore tra Radha e Krishna è un tema di spicco dell'arte e della letteratura indiana, fungendo da modello di amore allegorico a cui tutti dovrebbero aspirare. Radha era la gopi (pastora) preferita di Krishna, e il loro amore, simbolo di estasi tra Dio e l'anima umana, è stato spesso interpretato come la speranza dell'unione tra l'umanità e il divino.
Grande e pesante bronzo, di iconografia classica, fusione raffinata e molto ben cesellata .
Buone condizioni, bella patina , altezza cm 26.
India del Sud,  seconda metà XIX  secolo.
