John Laurance

Bord gemaakt n.a.v. Leidens ontzet, 350 jaar geleden in 1924.
Leiden was na Alkmaar (1573) de tweede stad dat de belegering van de Spaanse troepen afsloeg.
Het bord is handgeschilderd en vervaardigd in de plateelbakkerij van De Porseleyne Fles in Delft. Op de achterzijde het logo van de fabriek en het monogram van de schilder, Th. van Arum.
Op het bord de tekst ‘Gods behoede Leyden’. 1574-1924. Randversiering met een guirlande met haring en wittebrood.
Afmetingen: Doorsnede 18 cm. Hoogte 2,5 cm.
