"Breathing Under Pressure" This work speaks directly to the experience of modern women: a figure who, amidst social, emotional, and cultural overload, finds her own way to keep breathing. In an environment reminiscent of being submerged—as if everything around her were pressing down on her—she exhales bubbles of life, like small rebellions that insist on existing. The dripping, aerosolized word "BREATHE" is an urgent call that represents the anxiety and constant demand to sustain it all: body, career, image, motherhood, public voice, and personal life. Still, she breathes. She does it for herself, not to conform or please. It is an act of self-care, of daily resistance.
The phrases written in gold—“MY BODY, MY VOICE,” “I BREATHE FOR MYSELF,” “THIS IS MY STATEMENT”—are statements that resonate with current feminism, where the body becomes a political territory, and the voice is a tool of transformation. The figure, with her chest partially covered by a white stripe, suggests an imposed censorship that is no longer passively accepted: what was once attempted to be silenced now becomes a message. “Breathing Under Pressure” represents the modern woman who, despite living in a society that constantly judges, labels, or diminishes her, continues to find ways to assert herself, to heal, and to say: “I am here, and this is mine.”
