Pilot Maki-e fountain pen, made of brass with lacquerware.

It's a slender model with a beautiful lacquered body adorned with a crane motifs.In Japan, the crane is regarded as a symbol of longevity and has traditionally been considered an auspicious animal.

Maki-e is a traditional Japanese lacquer art technique in which patterns or images are painted with lacquer and decorated by sprinkling gold or silver powder onto the surface. Modern maki-e combines printing technology with traditional methods, achieving a precise and visually stunning finish.
