Pour que le monde tourne il lui faut un axe, et ce sera le chêne, roi des arbres, dont la sève monte comme un chant de la terre auquel répond le murmure des vents. Autour de lui c’est la ronde des saisons: printemps aux accents de lyre, été aux mille soleils bourdonnants, automne lourd de toutes ses abondances et hiver que se dépouille sous le contrôle de Janus, dieux faces, dont l’une regarde vers l’avenir où chatoie la promesse du renouveau.
