1970s Trompe-l’Oeil Side Table – Painted Metal – in the manner of Jacques Adnet / Hermès

Bijzonder en decoratief vintage bijzettafeltje uit de jaren 1970, uitgevoerd in geschilderd metaal in trompe-l’oeil stijl, waarbij het metaal vakkundig is gevormd en afgewerkt om leren riemen met gespen te imiteren.

Het ontwerp is duidelijk geïnspireerd op de iconische leren meubelen van Jacques Adnet, bekend van zijn werk voor Hermès. Dit betreft echter een interpretatie uit de jaren 70 en geen ontwerp van Adnet zelf, noch een Hermès-product.

Het tafeltje heeft een elegante driepoot-constructie met gebogen “riem”-poten en een dik rond glazen blad. De combinatie van illusionistische afwerking en equestrian design maakt dit tot een echte blikvanger en een geliefd verzamelobject binnen mid-century en eclectic interiors.
