Gouache op perkament in een gemengde techniek waarbij ook collagetechnieken zijn toegepast. De handgemaakte schildering is verlevendigd met uitgeknipte prentonderdelen en textilia.
De afgebeelde heilige is de Heilige Engelbert. 

Engelbert II van Berg (Schloss Burg, Solingen, 1185 - Gevelsberg, 7 november 1225), vanaf 1216 Engelbert I van Keulen, later ook wel Engelbert de Heilige genoemd, was een Duits geestelijke en staatsman uit de middeleeuwen. Hij was onder andere graaf van Berg, aartsbisschop en keurvorst van Keulen, en werd na zijn gewelddadige dood als heilige vereerd.

Engelbertus staat afgebeeld als bisschop met bisschopsstaf. Zijn figuur is samengesteld uit prentonderdelen en met gouddraad doorweven textilia. Hij staat tegen een handgeschilderde achtergrond met architectuur, een tuin en een papagaai.

Deze religieuze voorstelling is gevat in een gemarmerd houten lijstje uit de tijd met glas. Dit glas in handgetrokken met luchtbelletje in het glas.

Afmetingen:
- 18,8 x 14 x 2 cm

Conditie: enige waterschade aan de beelddrager waardoor wat verkleuring. Lijstje is goed gebruikt. (zie foto's)
