The LIMITED EDITION work you are bidding on, belongs to the multi-awarded series "Keeping The Distance". Some of the images from the series went viral, gathering more than 1 million views! It was created during the Covid lockdowns to express the need for human contact despite the fear, but in a more conceptual, and theatrical way. The series was exhibited in major cities around the world. 

Never AI, nothing digitally "added". All elements of the image are PHOTOGRAPHED in multiple shots and then stitched together.

The artwork is a Giclee Fine Art piece in a limited edition on Lustre Art Paper with a subtle pearl-like texture/finish. The giclée printing process uses high-resolution inkjet printers and archival pigment-based inks to produce fine art prints with exceptional detail, color accuracy, and longevity. It is the preferred method for museum-quality reproductions due to its ability to preserve the original artwork’s depth and richness for over 100 years without fading.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

ELENA PARASKEVA was chosen by Saatchi Art as one of the "Artists To Watch". The chairman of IAA, one of the biggest art organizations called her "one of the biggest talents in the photography industry". The curator of the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts wrote that "she has an impressive portfolio and great expertise in photography". Adobe, the creators of Photoshop, praised her work as "amazing conceptual imagery", and ScanArt International called her "a master of surrealism and conceptual narratives".

Her art is widely published, exhibited and multi-awarded. She has been acknowledged and promoted by some of the most prestigious photographic institutions such as Hasselblad, Lensculture, Der Greif, and Aesthetica Art.

Pieces of her work can be found in private collections around the world and public institutions like Boston Children's Hospital, Australian National University, Thalassa Museum etc. Her work was exhibited even in the EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT IN BRUSSELS. 

She was named PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR in 2024, 2023, 2021 and 2018 by four different, distinguished international photography competitions.

She has exhibited her work in Paris, NYC, London, Barcelona, Tokyo, Vienna, Florence, Munich, Budapest, Kuala Lumpur among other cities and has been published on the pages and covers of a multitude of publications including The Guardian UK, The Guardian Australia, The Times, Vogue.it etc

She is now at the point in her career where she is sought after to judge professional competitions around the globe and is invited to speak at photography seminars. She is even a recurrent judge for the FLORIDA MUSEUM OF PHOTOGRAPHIC ARTS.

She is commissioned by ADOBE (the creators of Photoshop) to teach professionals from all over the world on her creative and editing processes.

Amongst her many exhibitions over the years some notable ones were the exhibition of her series on Autism in the European Parliament in Brussels in March of 2023, the exhibition of her series "Vacant Children" at the XIV Florence Biennale in Oct. 2023 at the invitation of the organizers, and the exhibition of her series "A Perfect Life" during Paris Photo Week in Nov. 2023.
